Why “All About Aubrey” Will Be A Success

After being fired by Diddy from what seemed to be a mind numbing puzzle aka Danity Kane, singer Aubrey O’Day had no other choice but to fight to put the pieces of her life back together. The singer then received heavy back lash from deranged fans claiming she was the reason of the DK break up, to self righteous ethical druggies condemning her choice to pose in playboy. Some would even recall VH1’s attempt in giving the songstress her own reality series, but the show wasn’t picked up for some unknown reason.

Despite all of this, O’Day has managed step up to the plate again for her new project “All About Aubrey”. She recently told MTV that viewers can expect to see her in her always honest and blunt glory on the reality series. "Well, Oxygen's motto is living out loud, so I would say you're going to see Aubrey O'Day living out loud," she explained. "I don't think I've not done that, but obviously my voice is a bit outspoken, and I really don't play by anyone's rules, so I think you'll see a lot of that rebellious tendency that I have."

So how will “All About Aubrey” do in the ratings? If this new reality series goes in the direction of the pilot that was shown on Vh1, I suspect the ratings would be through the roof, but would she be sacrificing her career for the sake of TV Drama?

Rewinding to VH1’s pilot, the show was filled with gay best friend/best friend drama, screaming, hair flipping, mum advice giving drama...all the ingredients that allows Oxygen to live up to its “Living Out Loud” theme, that pulls heavy ratings for shows such as “The Bad Girls Club”. However, the pilot lacked emphasis on getting back to music (it was only one episode so this may be jumping the gun).

Luckily, there are reports that fans can expect to hear lots of new music from the 26-year-old songstress. Her latest musical offerings include an upbeat track called “Automatic” and a duet with her former Danity Kane member Aundrea Fimbres called “Ego Trippin.”

Balance the drama with the new music and surely enough, there’s gonna be a fan frenzy. O’day has managed to keep a large following and has all the goods to bring in the ratings. Counting the Twitter campaigns by her adoring fans, the Youtube campaigns by her admirers and the constant obsession by the haters...we suspect “All Aubrey Aubrey” will be a huge success.
